A Few Words From Brent

We are proud to be a member of the Greater Vancouver Chamber, to be a part of the community we serve. It is so exciting to see other new businesses start up in the growing economy of Clark County. I am honored to have been appointed to the Chambers Sustainability Committee alongside sustainability leaders from government and industry in Clark County with the goal of harmonizing all government agencies and public entities toward real, achievable sustainability goals.

As I go to Ribbon Cuttings I think back to our virtual Ribbon Cutting, and our humble beginnings. I am enjoying working with local businesses and government agencies in assessing their operations to gain efficiency in effort and economy in energy consumption, with the goal of making Clark County a better, healthier, more sustainable place to thrive.

Testimonials

I couldn't be more thrilled to share my thoughts on Brent’s exceptional skills and passion for sustainability in facilities management. He brings an unparalleled level of expertise and dedication to every project he undertakes. What sets Brent apart is his innate ability to seamlessly integrate sustainability principles into the realm of facilities management. His keen eye for identifying eco-friendly solutions and optimizing resource consumption is truly commendable. Beyond that, I've witnessed him lead indoor air quality educational sessions that not only ID each major technology but also why you might choose one tech over another to produce substantial cost savings for an organization. Starting his own consultancy is a natural progression for Brent. His depth of knowledge, combined with his knack for innovation, will undoubtedly make a positive impact on any organization or project he becomes a part of. I wholeheartedly endorse Brent Ward and have no doubt that he will continue to drive positive change in the field of facilities management and sustainability.

I am the Director of Commercial Operations at Leavitt Capital Companies. We contracted with Left Coast Facilities Consulting to conduct preventative maintenance audits for over a dozen properties we manage in South Downtown Seattle. Brent was incredibly easy to work when scheduling tours and he interacted with all our tenants in a professional manner. Each report was thorough with every specification suggested backed by the appropriate authority having jurisdiction requirement. His extensive facilities knowledge provides a comprehensive property evaluation. Choosing Left Coast is a great step toward creating a property management plan that will extend the life of your building and make for happy tenants!

I would like to extend a special thanks to Brent Ward CFM, FMP, SFP, CFT—IFMA Foundation Board Member and Mentor. His insights were among the most valuable contributions I received at this year’s World Workplace Conference in Minneapolis; if I'm saying it, you know it's of true value! Unlocking helpful solutions as well as valued industry insights and somewhat unspoken secrets are priceless; some would say these master keys are often reveled at conferences like IFMA has #WWP by FM industry leaders like FM Brent Ward. Thank you, Sir, it's been a pleasure connecting!!!! Wisdom is learned; leadership requires mentorship. FM's diverse disciplinary skill sets must be fed continuously with knowledge to match and navigate a rapid unprecedented growing time! It’s those we meet along our journeys that assist in strengthened our network and net worthiness!

Brent is professional, collaborative, and pragmatic. He willingly contributes his expertise in ways that help others gain new insights leading to innovative yet practical solutions. He connects ideas so others see the big picture and the hidden implications. Brent's expertise in facility management and assessment helps clients make informed decisions that weigh the risk of financial gain against the feasibility of integration with other systems. Brent would be an asset to any facility team.
Judith Hale
Principal, Hale Associates
Brent boasts an impressive collection of skills and knowledge, allowing him to deliver comprehensive Facility Assessments such as the one conducted for our church in San Diego in need of a thorough assessment to understand its condition and chart course for necessary repairs. Brent spent several days assessing the campus, taking meticulous notes on each roof, HVAC system, structure, parking lot, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment. His findings were compiled into a detail sheet, featuring serial numbers, model numbers, manufacture year, and recommended lifespans for each unit, accompanied by photographs. During his presentation, Brent shared innovative repair strategies that optimized quality while minimizing expenses, making him a highly recommended professional.

A Generous Leader Shaping the Future of Facility Management
It is an absolute pleasure to recommend Brent Ward. His technical expertise as the principal consultant at Left Coast Facilities Consultants is exceptional. His rare background in both construction and operations allows him to foresee project challenges and save clients significant time and money. This is backed by his impressive commitment to professional excellence, now fully realized with his Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, the highest achievement in our field. He is deeply invested in the growth and future of the entire FM field, as evidenced by his significant contributions on several IFMA Global boards, including a role on the esteemed IFMA Foundation board. This positions him at the very forefront of shaping industry standards and educational initiatives.
However, what truly sets Brent apart is his profound dedication to the future of facilities management itself. He doesn't just accumulate credentials; he uses his expertise as a platform to lift others up. Brent is a cornerstone of our local IFMA Chapter and a strong supporter of IFMA Global, consistently going out of his way to mentor emerging professionals. Brent is the type of professional who actively fosters a collaborative environment, generously sharing his extensive 15+ years of experience in operations, maintenance, and construction to help elevate the entire industry.
